My Granddad always did the cooking and kept the backyard looking like a show garden. My Grandma tinkered with broken down radios and took care of the household repairs. To me that was just normal. Maybe the war showed them that men and women could take on any role they wanted to. I'm not sure. But they lived like a 'modern' couple, they found what worked for them and loved their life together. So I really don't think gender role reversal is a thing, it's more of whether you cave to societal expectations or not. For me, I plan to let my life and relationships flow. Why aren't men supposed to wear dresses? Why aren't women supposed to earn more than their spouse? What is it to you if I'm gay, bi, straight or trans? It's all just cultural baggage ...
