With all the academic foundation of a bouncy castle, our esteemed colleagues offer you a daily dose of blinkered bias. Here at 'Responsible Journalism' we know the difference between peace-making and shit-stirring. If only everyone did.
We actually do expect the literary inquisition because it happens in periods of war and instability. We expect the rounding up and "shooting" (literal or figurative - depending on where you are) of literary intellectuals because we have the power to make the world anew. The question I would like to pose though, is why? We can make a heaven on Earth. We can bring dignity and a powerful sense of sacredness to every person in the world, we can bring a good future for all mankind. We can bring the love-nexus. We can show that we care for every nation. We can make war a thing of the past. We can solve the problems that are creating poverty, misery and sickness... So, dear leaders of the money-nexus, we should be welcomed as friends who can solve your problems, provide answers and bring societal calm and cooperation. We are the solution, not the problem. We are the cure, not the disease. We have the ability to bring lasting order through positive neurological healing of populations. So... I get it... there are millions and billions of people to care for... that's a huge responsibility... so, let us help. Let us help. Because we will work all our days for that end, for every human, for all of creation. We were born for this. Not for power, yet for service and support. The pen is more powerful but we have the same objective... peace ... thriving cultures... a sustainable world... a future for everyone that has a great standard of living.
That said, dear young writers, dear young intellectuals, please stand back and let the grown ups get on with this. By all means comment, make your opinions heard, it is the leaders are who are always targeted. This is the war of your parents generation. We have the life experience. We have the duty to protect the young. You own the future; let we old ones own the now. For in this battle is the truth of Generation X. Your truth will come later. You will continue the fixing of Earth long after we have passed on. Be safe, we love you. xxx
Some things are only true if you believe they are. Take for example the trojan horse paradox. Those who believe that others of different ethnicities or faiths are as the Trojans in the wooden horse, waiting their time to take over society in a bloody massacre treat those others with suspicion, contempt and prejudice. As that group (or groups) increasingly have less to lose, they form groups for social protection and to challenge the order that suppresses and abuses them. Thus the fear and cold hearted emotional indifference causes the problem. After this point there is continuing consolidation of groups who arm themselves for conflict. This stage is the precursor to civil war. Thus their world is not a shared dream, but a shared nightmare. It was a world built from fear and not love. It is reversible once the system is rooted and grounded in love. Multiculturalism is still a good goal and destination that can be everyone's utopia. Often times romance blossoms between people of different ethnicity and faith backgrounds. Nature loves diversity. We often fall in love with those that are different. Love is the only way out of the trojan horse paradox and it takes an environment where all are both enabled to embrace it and encourage others to embrace it. Let's all be smarter than folks were thousands of years ago. Let's show our creator that we have evolved, that the sacrifices of the prophets did bring the changes needed for a world of peace.
Until there is equity of access to resources necessary for a comfortable and happy standard of living that respects the sanctity and rights of each person of our planet, we cannot say that we have truly learnt the lessons of all black lives matter. And in so doing, in lifting up all the poor of every ethnicity, in the giving of dignity, in the acknowledgement of their full humanity, there are the seeds of world peace. Love is always our answer. Not the soppy kind of love though. Not that. But the "I'd give my life for yours" kind of love. And that, my friends, isn't the ceiling, it's the minimum requirement.
The angel of peace is the angel of war. They are the same. So stop looking for her twin. She is all goodness and all evil. Her mission is to bring world peace. Plan A, to put it in human terms, is universal love, to unite you as one species who cares for and loves all of creation. Plan B is to sow discord among those intent on war. When she sees the genocidal impulse rise, and she will see it regardless of the mask you wear to yourself and others, and then she will sow discord instead of unity. So whether you are united or fractured as a species is a choice being made daily by individuals. The worst outcome is one group united enough to launch a genocidal war upon whatever "others" or "they" is being singled out for hate. So if you are using "they" a lot in your speech, or "us" or "them," or any other name to indicate masses of individuals for whatever "group sin" you invoke, you need to start thinking of love and unity instead, of people as sacred individuals with complex lives and emotions. Plan A can only happen if all of you earn it together. In every situation you are choosing between love and emotional indifference. We ask you to choose love.
