If we have waste we have pollution and harm all of creation. We must pause. We must rethink. We must change. There can be no waste, only intermediary stages in the life of nutrients and materials. Life-cycle planning of all products is essential.
Manure becomes a harvest, straw becomes furniture and hats, old barns become kitchen tables... when we plan right the word "waste" is redefined into a definition closer to "new beginnings."
Waste is such a blessing when we use it right, when it becomes the raw materials for some other necessary aspect of healthy living.
Recycling for eons was taken care of for us. All waste was biodegradable and bacteria and fungi did their job in putting those nutrients back into creation in healthful ways. If we are going to be creating waste, we need to do as God did, we need to have ways that bring those nutrients back into nature in healthful ways. There is no need to reinvent the wheel here, but there is a profound need to follow our divine role model. Whatever we produce must be planned with a full cycle, a creation to dissolution model.
