We brought our home to life with the warmest hues of the fall season each thanksgiving. The oranges, reds and earthen browns were grounding to our spirits in a way that brought sense of tranquility to our family.

To mama thanksgiving decorations were simple brown burlap sack napkins, cinnamon sticks and fall leaves. They were whatever brought her closer in spirit to her creator and all the more thankful for the joys nature gives so freely.
Thanksgiving decorations were about celebrating those humble hues of the autumnal season. We loved to bring the outdoors in, to collect those pretty leaves and place them in a simple bowl. They don't cost the earth and they bring a warmth to my soul even as the days become more chill.
