The scroll could be read by anyone with the intellectual and emotional intelligence it took to gain an instinctive comprehension of the meanings (of ancient symbols) and translate that into their tongue. In other words they needed to have the capacity for the subconscious and dreaming brain to talk directly to the conscious part of their brain, thus transmitting the ideas concretely to themselves and to others. Thus they are able to both read the language of the Gods and apply it in a practical manner. One who needs teaching how to read the symbols and signs can never become a true master, yet may take comfort from knowing that true masters come every few thousand years or less.
The old scroll was like one of those multiple choice papers - with right answers, obvious distracting ideas and plenty of laughable idiocy. Yet in a similar way to physical maps, the topography of the ideology had a key. If we took love as our key, as our ideological supreme principle, then the "map" of the universe contained in the scrolls could be read. The Gods, as it turned out, had given us the key to read it all along.
The ancient scroll doubtless contained timeless wisdom, yet it needed distilling from the unconscious and conscious biases of the times in which it was born.
The scroll was the aged white and the everlasting truth told in black ink, forever bound upon the enchanted parchment. It called to humanity in times of thirst, when truth and fairness were treated as subjective instead of objective concepts.
