Scolding is folding when you should play your best hand. It is a choice to lose when, with warmer thoughts, you could win the house.
Scolding is a cold and emotionally indifferent action; we grow in psychological maturity when we have the courage and fortitude to remain calm, to hear the other person fully, to help them co-regulate and and help them develop a compassionate perspective upon their own actions.
Scolding is what it sounds as. It is burning with hot words and no compassion. Ironically, though the temper is fire, the act can do more damage than emotional ice.
