We painted the walls white and then had a rainbow paintball fight. That with the polished wooden floors and neat trim, it looked great and every splotch reminded us of fun times. Renovation had never been so fun!
From the cocoon of the old home came the butterfly, a place so clean and fresh that the soul learned to fly anew.
There were strong bones under the old wallpaper and stains, a great foundation upon which to build up the new home.
Greg rolled his eyes, "They say renovation dust is "divorce dust," so don't live through it, leave the house, come back when it's all done. Everyone thinks they are the exception, chances are, you aren't."
The renovation got off to a quick start when Indra pulled the plastic coverings off the window sills - they were real wood beneath, quite pretty and totally restorable.
