Peanut butter was one of those ingredients I always found appealing. It could be savoury or sweet, yet it brought comfort either way.
If there wasn't anything sweet in the house I'd make a tiny desert, one small enough to fit in an egg cup. A teaspoon of peanut butter and an equal quantity of brown syrup. Then I'd mix it up and eat it a little at a time. It was very small, very sweet, and it hit all the right spots.
Peanut butter was my hero ingredient, it could save anything from a noodle dish to a brownie.
Everyone knows that crunchy peanut butter is the saviour of toast, why go smooth when you can have a little texture?
