My bedroom doubles up as my office too, it works okay, I have a reasonable view. It is a thing I did because of the pandemic, to give myself some privacy during the daytime. The kids already are trained to knock on the bedroom door before entering, they aren't accustomed to being in here, so it works well for the family too. And, when I reflect on how things were before I how they are now, I prefer working at home. There were bumps of course, but those are all settled now.
That office life could be "life" is a lie. You'd be hard pressed to find a soul in this place that wasn't in some state of decomposition. We all need a job that matters, to feel that even if all we do is sit at a keyboard all day, that what we do is key to the wellbeing of others, of our community, of our world.
If this were some kind of mission to save humanity I'd feel so honoured to be a desk jockey, as it is, I'd rather put my saddle in a place that mattered.
