Our money-nexus grants dollars to the rich and pennies for the masses of poor, who is mugged, who is mugging? Where's the sense in all this?
I was mugged. I saw them come, I watched them go, the bruises will heal. In a society where food and shelter are so tough to find for so many, where lack of love in early years and adverse childhood experiences bring rises of drug addictions, in a money-nexus world that is an inverted pyramid, giving the most money to the fewest, crime is what happens. Until we face the obvious this danger will go on, deteriorate, extinguish the loving sparks of community that are supposed to keep us safe.
The mugging was unfortunate, traumatic and over quickly. Some sick junkie no doubt. So I let 'em go, let em run, and hope that they find their peace as I find my own.
