Meditation can be letting yourself admire the beauty of the autumn leaf in ambient winds. Meditation can be a stillness that allows nature to spark joy in your soul from the most simple of things - the smile of your child or the taste of warm nourishing food. It is a way of seeing the beauty of the world and that you are a part of that beauty too.
I meditate in exercise, in those moments of personal truth and discovering what I'm really capable of.
When we let the noise of the world pass by as so much radio static, we feel our own soul and the condition it is in. We start to gain a true sense of what we need for deep health. It is then we become good for ourselves and good for others, a source of positive karmic ripples.
If the body never moved it would wither, and the same is true of the brain. So though I sometimes seek divine peace in stillness, there is a heavenliness in soulful bodily movements, and when we are open to connections in all ways we truly blossom from within.
My work is a meditation of sorts, and a medication too. It is my creativity that cures my soul, as if each act of creation in verse is a salve for wounds I'm ready to shed.
To find "me" I need Mind Emptiness. Then I feel who I am, the person within and reconnect, allowing a feeling of wholeness to emerge. Then I can make better choices, more that build a sense of "me" that I approve of and love. For unless I love who I am and can feel that deeper sense of personhood, how can I truly love another? For a mask cannot love, just as a thin layer of soil cannot grow a tree, depth is needed, peace with all my emotions, the pretty and the gnarly, is a must.
