Bigorexia - the wave of young men damaging their bodies with steriods to gain big muscles - is founded on a misconception. If they are a guy who wants to attract gals, here's the thing. I say this as a straight biological female. Women, beyond a sense of averageness, don't care what their man looks like. They don't. Once a guy is somewhat average other factors take over. They are looking for a great partner who would make a great father. It's biologically hardwired. Women don't chose mates based on looks. By all means, be healthy, do a sport or whatever makes you feel good... but a lot of women actually don't like big muscles in real life. That's what's real.
When you become confident your inner demons will leave. They will have no choice because you will at last be in command of yourself.
To be as good as you can be, to reach your full potential, self confidence is a sense you need to develop and nurture. Those lacking it will never jump as high a they could have and the world can thus not benefit from their God-given talents. So believe in yourself. Believe that you can. Believe that what you have to give is needed and necessary.
I am both shy and adventurous, so in my ways there is evidence of both. Yet shy and lacking confidence are different in emotion. One is a soft excitement, a first toe upon the stage, the other is a learned fear that comes of critical words or under-appreciation. Yet by taking care to see the self as worthy of love, love self-given and that from others, confidence can grow. It is worth it too. It is worth learning how to value yourself so that you can walk upon whatever stage your passions lead you to.
Dear Luna, tell me of why you chose to be silver over gold, a simple reflection over being a real star with light of your own; for our world needs stars to guide the way, ones with hearts as pure as yours. Did you think, my dove, that to be a star you had to be son? For what is gender at all? Are you not simply humans, born to love, to shine brightly for others? So be bright, be bold, be brilliant. You, are a daughter, and, as I have told the others for all this time , that I will always keep a "door to her," to my moon-child, my Luna, as treasured as the sun. She is one who lights up the world, commanding the surrender of the darkest of nights to bring eternal dawn. Stars are, in truth, brilliant together, born to shine in their place and time, each as wonderful as the other, each created to be its own self in that constellation of beauty.
