If we were to create a sort of "financial Sophie's Choice" in Israel with respect to the Gaza conflict, would it help to shine a light on if each side is really putting their full efforts into peaceful resolution and preservation of life (including quality of life)?
If both sides were given the same deal, fo every bomb dropped 1% of their current GDP was immediately owed as an international debt that would then be used to pay for care of migrants and refugees - would it slow the bombing? If so, then they must face the realisation that they are placing money above life, the opposite of what a loving God would wish.
Everyone is sacred or everyone is scared.
