Those indoor cycles looked as if the metal that made them was still flowing, as if it was built of motion for motion, as if standing still went against its nature.

I loved the country, loved the open road and the sounds of birds. I loved the open air and feeling of freedom upon my iron horse. Yet as the days grew less warm I found that indoor cycling to endorphin inducing dance tracks was a lot of fun. It got me through those rainy days, those days of ice and sleet - and once the springtime called, once the breeze grew kinder to the skin, the open road called once more.
