This year, for our halloween crafts with the kids, we had collected old food jars, the kind of stuff that usually goes into the recycling. We painted the insides garish colours, added faces too. Then once a candle was inside, they looked so very brilliant, a sort of different take on the traditional Jack-O-Lantern.
Soon we had an Adam's Family themed set of toilet-roll characters. And for the spiders we cut the tubes to have eight long legs and small fat body in the middle.
Each year we'd get the kids all togged up to collected the best of the fallen leaves and twigs. Then come Halloween we'd bring them out to make our crafts from.
Our halloween craft this year got the kids so excited! We painted as many of the characters from Monsters Inc. onto pumpkins as we could and set them out with candles. After that we had a lot of pumpkins to make baking treats from, and after we grown-ups had done the "boring bits," we made monster cookies and pies too!
