The front room is comfy couch, scatter cushions and tv. That's all I need come the evening. It's a sanctuary. Curtains closed, lights off, movie playing, popcorn and pop. That's my bit of heaven.
The front room is my watching room. It is where I see the life upon the street and feel that I am apart of it, though my in truth I spend my days alone. To smile and wave at passers by, to greet a neighbour or two... that's something. It's a feeling of community that wouldn't happen in any other room.
Folks around here call the lounge, the sitting room, the "front room" no matter where it is in the house; you'll find ours out the back with garden all around it.
