Once upon a time there was a dancing bug. The bug loved to play with words, he called people sweetheart though he really meant he wanted to eat their sweet heart. He loved to play with language and misdirect people, that’s what made him happy because he had the heart of a bug. There was no Love in his heart, only a cold darkness that was partially alleviated by the mean kind of mischief. It was not his fault that he was born without Love, but his heart was cold because he was a bug.
The bug filled his time with misdirecting the people, enjoying giving words double meanings. Knowing that people Love the light he said, “hello, I’m de-lighted to meat you.” The bug sought out words that meant the same things but had different spellings because it made the double talk all the simpler. The bug saw a small glint of fear in the eyes of the people and smiled inwardly. This, he told himself, is going to be “sweet,” because to the bug causing fear was what he lived for, he didn’t know any other way to be.
