You can't build a body from one kind of atom and you can't build a forest from one kind of tree, without biodiversity our biological ship sinks, our "titanic."
Conservation must be at the heart of culture, at the heart of what it is to live as a human on Earth, only real sustainability can give life for generations to come.
There are approved forestry schemes that cut down established forests and "replace the trees" with a different species of one type of tree in a plot of land hundreds of miles from the original destruction. It is eco-fraud at a time when we need conservation to protect species. These schemes are as if a person took away your home and food and "replaced it" with a place you could neither live nor eat. It's a crime against animals that can't speak for themselves, it is a crime against God's creation.
Nature cannot live in pockets yet only in integrated wholes, much as there is no point me building an extension to your home a few hundred miles away. A little common sense goes a long way.
What could be more "conservative" than "conservation"? Can we see more people watching the "pennies" of God's biodiversity because then perhaps creation will be able to take care of herself once more.
