The right to sexual affection and nurture is so deeply fundamental to what it is to feel fully human, that to seek in any way to thwart the rights of others to the partner of their choice is a fundamental attack on life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
We enacted the "Santa Clause" - and that clause stated that education about gay and transgendered citizens would be treated a similar way to information about "Santa Claus." Until sometime after puberty was reached, at a time chosen by parents, kids get to learn that sexual life is extra fabulous and varied for those who want it. Just in the same way previous generations didn't talk about sex to preteens (at all, of any kind), we don't either. The parents feel that their rights are being respected, the LGBT community feels as loved and honoured as they always should have, and the kids get introduced to the idea of sex - any sex - when they are more psychologically mature. It gives kids a right to just be kids, to hold onto their innocence for longer. Until they're ready we say the stalk brings babies and everyone sticks to the story. The internet is finally clean for kids, a different access being granted to those whose register as "Santa Aware."
