After being fired I chased every opportunity and made new ones too. I became a ball of energy, ready to light up any room.
Being fired was scary. It was real scary. When there are bills to pay and mouths to feed, that act of taking a job away has ripple effects in society that can rip hearts out and break lives. In a money-nexus world, you have to keep a steady source of money or you starve. It is social darwinism. It is cold hearted. It is a terrible way to treat people. It is a heartless way to run the world. Yet right now, I got kids to feed and I gotta bring the bread home.
Being fired was a great shock. It hurt. Yet looking back, it was exactly what I needed to achieve my potential, to get out there and have the impact in society I've always dreamed of.
I was fired, but that's okay. If they kick out a truth-sayer, a person who knows bs when they hear it, that's on them. There's better things ahead for me, much better.
