There are a zillion kinds of brownies you can make these days, I guess that's good. What I like though are the original kind - cocoa powder, sugar, butter, egg and flour. They aren't fancy, but they are cheap to make and boy are they good! Sometimes I throw some coconut in there or chopped nuts, but simple is great. Why fix that?
I loved brownies because they knew what they were, a proudly sweet sweet that had so much more sugar in it than flour. Freshly baked from the oven with a spoon of melting ice-cream on the top - mmmmmm. So good. So very, very good.
