Writing is a thing that happens on the fly, such as running and taking a leap of faith, rather than a thing much thought out before the act. In that it is more similar to athletics than one may suppose from observation.
Writing is how I fly, for it is only when my fingers dance upon the keyboard that I am in full possession of my wings.
Writing is the deep expression of so many parts of myself, the conscious me and my dreaming brain weaving new words with healing power. That is why we write, to shine lights, to make signposts, to throw life-rings into stormy seas. It is our "why," and for evolutionary time we writers have played our part in keeping human societies on the right track.
We write to set things right, whatever did you think writing was?
When writing I feel my emotions flow, informing both my creative centre and linguistics of the right words, of the right way to dance upon the literary stage.
