I would sit upon those summer nights, near the fields of golden wheat, below the black heavens alight with stars, and gaze through the most wonderful telescope.
The telescope launched my heart among the stars, free to explore the galaxy.
By virtue of the telescope, I learned to look up and admire the heavens. I learned to dream and hope that perhaps out there were words of equal beauty to our Earth. I knew I'd always love her more, I expect all species feel that way about their mother world, but to explore, to learn, to adventure... it is so human to wonder of such things.
The telescope was the rocket ship for my creative dreams, for with it I rode the light-beams right out there into the black.
